You don’t have to go to Spain to taste Spanish cuisine (only if you are passionately in love with this country), you can prepare classic dishes at home as well. Then invite friends and relatives and taste the treats in a friendly company, as they do in Spain.
Let’s cook some popular Spanish dishes
Gazpacho
You will need:
- 500 grams of tomatoes
- 200 g cucumbers
- 1-2 bell peppers
- 1 bulb
- 1 clove of garlic
- 100 ml of olive oil
- 2 tsp. wine vinegar (if no vinegar is available, substitute for regular vinegar)
- salt, pepper, herbs to taste (coriander, parsley)
- croutons of white bread
- ice
What to do:
- Peel the tomatoes from the skin (blanch), cut into 4 parts.
- Peel the cucumbers, cut into cubes.
- Pepper remove the seeds, cut into cubes.
- Dice onion and garlic.
- Mix it all in a blender.
- Add the wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper and ice. Stir once more.
- Leave in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
- When serving, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and serve with chopped tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and herbs.

Tapas
Dice the juicy melon and cut the jamon into long strips. Wrap the melon slices in the jamon, pierce with a spaghetti and place on a plate. Garnish with strawberries or olives. The combination of salted jamon and sweet melon is simply unparalleled.

Classic Sangria.
Pour the red Spanish dry wine, table wine or local wine into a carafe. Add 500 ml of bitter tonic, add three coarsely sliced oranges and two lemons, and sugar to taste. Stir the mixture and leave in the fridge for a few hours. Add plenty of ice to the decanter just before serving.
