I’m sure that after seeing these pictures, you can put Cappadocia in the “must visit” section. Cappadocia is one of the most beautiful, unusual and beautiful places on earth.
What time do balloons fly
The balloons fly at dawn. It’s a real adventure to go to bed early, because at 5:45 A.M. the bus that takes us to the valley with the balloons is already leaving. We were there on time. And now the little bus is already jolting over the bumps, taking us on our way to the Big Adventure. It’s dark outside, you can’t see anything at all. When the bus stops, we see only the outline of a huge balloon. It still lies lifeless on the ground. And suddenly! Everything comes to life. The balloon begins to fill and grow before our eyes.
Through the pre-dawn haze, you begin to see other balls. There are many of them, and they grow, too. And then fire! Fire, fire! A huge balloon rises from the ground and there it is hovering over a large basket for those who are to fly today.
Before the flight, everyone fills out a questionnaire, then comes the temperature measurement. It’s time to get in the basket for the flight! This requires a certain dexterity – there’s no door, you just have to climb over. The last seconds and we start climbing…
Impressions of a hot air balloon flight
Earth is moving away much faster than one might assume. The cosmic valley, made up of various, bizarre limestone figures, is as clear as the eye can see. It’s a little breathtaking – we’re already high up! There are many other balloons everywhere that seem quite small. They are multi-colored, and periodically each one flashes from the inside, like a flashlight.
That’s how balloons are operated: the guy who “steers” periodically gives a jet of fire. As we climb higher and higher, the people below become indistinguishable dots… At that moment, the sky lights up with an orange glow. It is dawn! The sun!
The sky is getting lighter and the whole valley below us is changing. All shades are visible: light pink, grayish, steel, blue… The flight lasts about an hour and allows you to see the fantastic views of Cappadocia in detail.
A hot air balloon flight is one of those events that will be remembered for a lifetime.
